At Anvers confectionery we believe there are 4 policy items that guarantee the highest quality to the customer:
- We source the highest quality ingredients such as super fine, high cacao, couverture chocolate, Ashgrove milk and cream, Webster walnuts, real liquors and many more all packed in Tasmanian made gift boxes.
- We train all our staff to atleast Certificate III in their chosen field to ensure they have the skill and knowledge to provide qaulity product and service.
- Food safety: Anvers has and maintains HACCP Certifications with SGS.
- Anvers confectionary keeps in touch with customer demand and expectations by the many options customers have available to provide feedback and Igor keeps in touch with the latest trends in confectionery around the world.
Anvers confectionery tries to use as much as possible Australian produce and services. Apart from some items such as cacao which cannot be commercially sourced in Australia we have more than 90% of our outgoings spend in Australia, the bulk of this in Tasmania.
Over the years we have been awarded many awards for quality and service such as the 1991 Australia's Best new foodservice award, 1993 silver at Salon Culinaire Sydney, 2003 ITOT best new retail and tourism attraction, 2004 1st generation Family business of the year Tasmania, 2005 and 2007 Tourism council and Cradle Coast Authority's peoples choice award and 2008 Independent and 2008 Independent retailer of the year award.
Staff & Training
Anvers confectionery has a strong belief that training of staff is an important factor in giving the customer the product and service they deserve. It also creates a better working environment as our staff have confidence in their work-skills. We train all our staff to Certificate III in their chosen field: Food Processing (confectionery), Hospitality, Retail, Kitchen Operations and Asset Maintenance. Managers are encouraged to continue the training to Certificate IV and beyond.
Our training philosophy and training program has won us the 1999 Tasta Tasmanian small business of the year and were awarded finalists in 2003 and 2005.
