At Anvers Tasmania, we’re leading the way in growing cacao plants—just for fun and education, for now!

Nearly a year into our journey, we’re thrilled with the progress of our tropical treasures. Despite Tasmania’s famously cold climate, our greenhouse—kept at a cozy 25°C with a Daikin heat pump—has proven to be the perfect haven. Through trial and error, we’ve fine-tuned their environment, and the results are impressive. These resilient plants have survived a Tasmanian winter and now thrive with strong roots and vibrant growth.

While a handful of plants won’t make us self-sufficient, they symbolize a bold step toward growing cacao in the Southern Hemisphere!
